Ireland is an exotic tourist spot. It is popularly known for the myths, magical incidents and legendary stories associated with it. Numerous tourists from all round the world are magnetized to view this bewitching place. The wonderful Ireland cities with a horde of interesting activities for young as well as the old and the scenic splendor with which the country is blessed have always been inviting people from all round the world. Ireland is thus deemed to be an ideal place for vacationing.

Ireland like many other places on earth has something for everyone. You can tour the place individually or with your family, there will be no deficiency of fun and amusement. There are also many worth visiting modern art galleries and museums that add to the creative ambience of the place. Apart from this the nightlife of Dublin has always entertained its tourists to best and fullest.

The Irish Midlands are known by way of bifurcation into various provinces or counties. These counties are individually famous for some or the other attraction. For instance County Cavan has got recognition due to the River Shanon that flows towards its south, the Killygeen forests and the fascinating activities like fishing, horseback riding and hiking etc. in there. While the County Offaly is popular for its superb science center and ravishing plant and animal life.

Moving on to the Northern Ireland region, what is most welcoming here is the capital city of Belfast. Belfast is seen terms of its directions i.e. north, east, west and south Belfast. All the areas have respective allures. If south Belfast has beautiful Belfast gardens and the famous Ulster Museum, the north Belfast has amazing Neolithic caves in the Cave Hill Country Park and the Belfast zoo. Besides Belfast, there are several other counties of Northern Ireland region that have always gained tourist attention.

South Ireland area is again a combination of different counties. County Mayo here is a land of lakes and cliffs. This county has some remarkable historical sites that are often a source of information. The County Clarke of this region has multiple lures. There is fishing, boating, mind-boggling stalamites and stalactites in the caves of cliff of Moher, dance, music and theater. The Bunratty Folk Park adds to the amusement sources of this place.

Similarly there are other provinces like Northwestern County, which again is subdivided in a number of other counties, Southeastern and Southwestern Counties that too are sectioned in numerous counties.

Finally, Ireland is not just a destination for the rich. Accommodation and other facilities are available for all classes of people. A holiday to Ireland with planned budget can be a dream come true for many people.

Let me talk about some common misunderstandings over the names of Mexican states. The name of the country is Mexico. I may hear a “duh” but bear with me for a minute. Mexico is also the name of one of the thirty-one states. So how do you tell the difference?

Most Mexican documents and addresses will use the form Edo. de Mexico meaning State of Mexico when referring to the state itself. You may also find the official name, Estado de Mexico, and the lesser used state abbreviation, Edomex. If you were trying to find someone living in the city of Acambay in the State of Mexico, the proper form could be any of the following: Acambay, Estado de Mexico, Acambay, Edo. de Mexico or Acambay, Edomex.

I wish I could tell you this is the final word about Mexico and the State of Mexico, but it’s not. A few prominent Mexican publications such as Guia Roji’s Mexican atlas and the national Mexico telephone books refer to Edo. de Mexico as simply Mexico. I recently had two situations that truly reflect the confusion that exists with the names of cities and states.

The first was an inquiry from a young girl. She wrote that she was starting her Mexican family genealogy and trying to locate a relative in Jilote, Veracruz. I explained there is no such city. There is a city named Jilotepec in Veracruz and recommended she check with the person who told her the city name was Jilote. The girl wrote back she was aware Jilote is a slang term for Jilotepec.

This exchange shows how one small item can stop you from moving your family genealogy research forward and finding the person you are looking for. It’s always best to use the proper city name if you’re searching online or asking for help from family genealogy research web sites.

Keep in mind there can be cities in the same state where the difference in name is only one or two letters. I sometimes do a double take because I’ll see two names that look exactly alike at first glance.

Another event occurred while watching the program, 48 Hours Mystery. The show opened with a scene from a city in Mexico. The caption read, “Ajijic, Mexico.” I just happened to be watching the show with a friend from Guadalajara who immediately said, “Hey, that’s in Jalisco! There’s no Ajijic, Mexico!” Guadalajara is in the state of Jalisco, and my friend knows the town, Ajijic. The proper form for the city is Ajijic, Jalisco, Mexico.

Would any of us feel saying or writing Los Angeles, USA seemed appropriate or correct? To someone unfamiliar with the U.S. states, they may have no idea where Los Angeles is. Worse, who can say if the post office would deliver a letter if it was addressed to just Los Angeles, USA. So, when we talk about Mexican small towns, precision with the name and spelling is critical to your search and for anyone you have assisting you with the research.

If you are, or have had, problems because of the name of a Mexican city or state, take heart. Not even CBS and 48 Hours seem to know how to properly list an address. They may claim creative license, but when you are doing your family genealogy research and trying to locate someone in Mexico, that creativity can slow you down or stop your search altogether. Now you know what to look for.

Due to the above, it is therefore strongly recommended when undergoing a sibling analysis especially a half sibling test, to include any parent (normally the mother) as this will help improve in the comparison and interpretation of the results.

In specific cases, even in the absence of a parent being tested, the DNA laboratory is able to produce accurate results due to the nature of the testing methodology used in the laboratory. These cases include testing the Y-chromosome which is suitable for male to male siblings; Y chromosome is transferred through the direct male lineage whilst the X-chromosome is suitable for female to female siblings with the same potential father and different mothers. The reasons for resorting to DNA Sibling Testing are many. However, some of the most common cases include:

- Adopted children, or siblings that have been separated, who eventually find their alleged siblings but the parents are deceased;
- Siblings who have doubts about their real paternal father, but the parents are unwilling to participate in the test;
- Claims on inheritance by an individual claiming to be related to the children of the deceased.

Before embarking on a DNA Siblings Test it is important to identify who is available for testing as this will assist the DNA laboratory to decide which DNA test is most applicable to your case. There can also be various stages of testing with additional people included in the testing if the first results do no yield a satisfactory result.
